When you’re ready to use it, remove it from the freezer and allow it to defrost in the refrigerator for about 24 hours. This will ensure that it thaws evenly and safely. Do not defrost at room temperature or use a microwave to speed up the process, as this can affect the quality of the product. If stored properly, Innotox can be kept in the freezer for up to 6-8 months before it needs to be used. After defrosting, it can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. If Innotox is stored in the fridge (before being opened), it can last for about 6 months. However, once it’s defrosted, it should be used within 3 weeks, even when kept in the fridge. The freezer is primarily for long-term storage before you’re ready to use it, while the fridge is for short-term use once it has thawed. After the product has thawed, you’ll need to reconstitute Innotox with sterile water or the recommended diluent. After the injection, avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, and remain upright for at least 4 hours to prevent the toxin from spreading to unintended areas.
