I ask because I also have wondered but it’s true 8mm / 5/16ths .50 ml is ideal and now some doctors say 6mm “could” be used for superficial: but recommended is 5/16ths .50ml and 1/2 /13mm 1ml for deeper injections like frown, neck, masseters etc .. I usually use the 8mm insulin syringes .5 ml but have wanted to go down to 6mm needle on 1ml syringe for frown and eye area only just because I tend to push in till I can’t out of habit :) for one touch up to eyes I did use a 6mm needle on a 1ml layer lock, didn’t intend too but it was all I had to use haha I liked it after the anxiety left at least I’m just too scared to use it full time as I don’t want to mess up anything :)
