Kim, this is a brave and heartfelt post and it speaks volumes to me. I have BPD and while on the mild side, when I do spiral, it can take hold and rip through me in ways I feel nothing but shame, guilt, heartache and pain over later. I have a phenomenal husband who patiently reminds me that I am experiencing situation and that it is not defining me not my actions at that moment, and that it will pass, like it always has in the past. There are tools to live within the illness, but it takes a lot to commit yourself to it. My BPD was most likely a genetic pass down from my own mother, who has a more severe case, and added narcissistic tendencies. AND whom I refuse to have a relationship with. I don’t hate her, I’m not mad at her, but I just cannot have her in my life and in my family’s life. With my heart heavy, that’s a choice I had to make, it took years to be at peace with that, but I am thankful for being strong enough to make that choice, you should be thankful you are strong enough to do that as well. @ChristyR this is awesome! I had to watch after the live. I’m absolutely intrigued by Gouri, I’m just curious how long the effects last. Could you pretty please offer your opinion on duration and effects as time passes? It’s a higher priced product and I want to avoid disappointment. :)
